Young justice adventure team!
the style is learning the mh4 Cats’ adventure team.
This was not what I meant when I said I wanted Young Justice back.
I want my series back you morons
Really…can no one be satisfied? This is like the whole Teen Titans Go thing all over again.
No, it’s not the same as the original cartoon. It may not be as good as the original cartoon. But can’t you be happy that Young Justice is coming back in some way? No one had to bring Young Justice back at all. You should be happy they saw that Young Justice was incredibly popular and are trying to make something new!
I personally like the fact that they are attempting to make a new Young Justice. Yes, I’m prepared for it to be bad. But I’m thankful they are at least trying to make viewers happy.
Please, stop acting so spoiled.
I feel like this is being directed at me, so I’m going to respond.
I understand where you’re coming from (though I don’t see how this is like Teen Titans Go because that has nothing to do with YJ). Yes, no one had to bring YJ back at all and if the rumors are true then I will be happy to check the show out.
I’m allowed to speculate. I always want to give things a chance, like Ben Affleck for the MoS sequel, but some things rub me the wrong way and I want to voice my opinion. It isn’t about being satisfied, but since you brought it up I’ll say that no, I’m not satisfied. At this point I’d rather they not continue at all because I have a strong feeling that Young Justice as a CW TV show is going to be far different than the cartoon. I wonder why they even decided to do this, if the rumors are true. Why not simply move the cartoon to CW, why make it live-action? My immediate reaction is because they just want another Arrow success story, which is NOT a bad thing. That’s not what I’m talking about. What I’m saying is that I’m worried about how they’ll handle YJ.
A non-cartoon show can bring about some awesome ideas, too, I acknowledge that. It’s likely it would take an hour time slot (so 40 minutes of actual show instead of just 20) which is great because character development! We’d probably get to see more civilian life (and perhaps they’d even bring Wally back). These, and many other things, are what I’m all for. However, I’m worried about all the little things because those are important to me. Will Greg and Brandon be involved? Are they planning to pick up where the cartoon left off? My personal thoughts, real quick, and I do realize that this is probably insignificant to a lot of people, is the casting. We’ve established a look (a cartoon look, yes) for the characters, but we’ve also got their personalities through the voice actors. I’m admitting that I’d be upset to hear, for instance, Nightwing speak differently than the way Jesse McCartney voiced him, and I don’t even care if that sounds “spoiled.”
Like, I never watched Smallville, which I know was popular, and I also know that they’ve come a long way since then (like with the new Flash show, maybe). So what about showing the superpowers? What about the League? What about the character designs and special effects? Yes, of course all of this can be done, but… It’s CW. They have some good shows that do some cool looking things and their usual demographic is probably the same as the majority who watched the YJ cartoon anyway, but I’m worried that it’ll turn into some soap opera with super-powered teens and far too much romance. Again, I realize that’s a personal opinion, but it’s an important one.
I’m not saying that I’m not excited. My initial comment, “This was not what I meant when I said I wanted Young Justice back,” means exactly what it said. I was always holding out hope that they’d renew the cartoon for s3. I was even okay with the idea of continuing the show through the videogames. Honestly, I’ve said a few times that it’d be cool to see a live-action show, and although part of me desires it, I know that I would never think of it as a continuation. Maybe they aren’t intending it to be… so my question is, why do it at all? Why make a live-action show from an established cartoon?
I’m very torn, to be honest. On one hand I want them to give it a shot and I want it to be successful, but my main gripe is that I doubt it’ll really be, or feel, like the Young Justice we know. It’ll just be another show using the same well-known characters and situations. Maybe we all need to accept that that show isn’t going to come back and it’ll never be the same. But right now, I have the right not to be happy about it. And who knows, maybe it’ll be amazing and a great addition and I’ll love. I just have doubts at this moment in time.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!“I know you believe there isn’t much to be thankful for…we have lost a lot..more than most people do in lifetimes. But..but we have one another, right here and right now. And for that..I’m thankful.”
everything i love is on the table. everything i love is out to
sea. i'm not alone, i'll never be. into the bone, i'll never
if you gaze long enough into an abyss
I still have a lot of feelings about M’gann’s arc in Invasion
#I love Kaldur more than any character in this series #but I never not once hated M’gann for what she did to him #he was the brother that murdered her sister #he was the mentor who turned his back on everything he ever taught her #he had captured and possibly tortured her boyfriend and his former friend #who had blown up their home and put lives in danger #there are few things that people who love their friends deeply can hate more than traitors #but this wasn’t really about kaldur #this arc was about M’gann #who lost sight of being the hero in her quest to protect her loved ones #this was about her growing as a person #and addressing the parts of her that were actually monsterous #instead of just recognizing the parts of her that aren’t
but I won't follow you into the rabbit hole.
I said I would but then I saw your shivered bones,
they didn't want me to.
You heard it from the God’s mouth: if you want more YJ stories, then buy the game and spread the word. If it sells well, Little Orbit is interested in using their existing license to make a sequel game set during “Season Three”!
From Ask Greg
Want more stories set in the EARTH-16 Universe of Young Justice and Young Justice: Invasion?
Then vote with your wallet! Go out and buy a copy or six of YOUNG JUSTICE LEGACY!!! This new video game from Little Orbit is canon material set during the five-year gap, between Seasons One and Two.
In addition, if it sells well, Little Orbit is very interested in using their existing license to make a sequel game set during “Season Three”.
Here’s what Little Orbit’s own Matthew Scott had to say in an e-mail to myself and fellow YJ Producer Brandon Vietti:
I just want to send a big thank you for all your support helping us launch Young Justice: Legacy.
Not sure if you saw the World Finest review:
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/youngjustice/releases/games/legacy/The review certainly seems to have picked up on the main aspects of the project that we were trying to achieve.
My favorite quote:
“This game is so full of revelations and bombshell moments. Between that and all the new information you’re getting, it’s like we got an epic mini-series event, and not just a cheap cash grab video game. One nuance that I loved from the show was how actual mythology was incorporated in the ongoing story plots, and that carries over here.”
BTW - In your interview on Nerdy Show [ http://nerdyshow.com/2013/11/episode-160-the-legacy-of-young-justice/ ], you mentioned that you couldn’t speak for us. But I will go on record saying we would absolutely do a Young Justice: Legacy sequel set in the season 3 period. Just need to see how sales are for this title.
